虎斑地鶇 / 小虎鶇 - a photo on Flickriver

            虎斑地鶇 Scaly Thrush【學名： Zoothera dauma】雀形目 / 鶇科；別名：小虎鶇、虎鶇。目前也將臺灣的小虎鶇歸類在虎斑地鶇下的一個亞種。

小虎鶇在臺灣主要為稀有留鳥和不普遍過境鳥。與臺灣常渡冬的亞種 - 白氏地鶇，都稱為虎鶇。而小虎鶇在臺灣也比較少見。

小虎鶇在體型上比白氏地鶇小，背部較為偏紅褐色，小虎鶇主要棲息在闊葉林中，大多在樹林下層活動，通常單獨在地面上活動及覓食，主要以昆蟲、無脊椎動物、植物果實種子等，一遇危險即飛上大樹躲避。

因拍攝時間屬夏天，有可能正好遇上稀有的小虎鶇，通常這時間應該也不會有冬候的白氏地鶇。而拍攝這張照片時，小虎鶇恰巧停在地面上不動，剛好光線只打在牠的身上，為求羽色的正確性，當下都會盡量將其色溫調整至肉眼所見，這張未後製裁切，希望能留下來以後交叉比對使用。這趟虎鶇之旅真是獲益良多，也讓我見識到這既迷人又神秘的小虎鶇。
