出水芙蓉 ( 無尾熊 ) - a photo on Flickriver

            無尾熊 Koala【學名：Phascolarctos cinereus】雙門齒目 / 無尾熊科。別名：考拉、夸剌、樹熊、樹袋熊。其「Koala」一詞源自澳洲原住民的方言，意指「不喝水」；中文音譯成「考拉」或「夸剌」。

只分佈在澳洲東部低海拔（南緯15～38度之間）、不密集的尤加利樹林中，屬澳洲特有種。

成年無尾熊長約70至80公分左右，成年體重8~5公斤，性情溫馴，除非受到威脅時，會揮動其利爪攻擊。屬夜行性樹棲動物，一天大部份的時間都花在休息和睡眠上，可成達17~20個小時，主要是因為其新陳代謝緩慢。

無尾熊主要以桉樹(尤加利)為主食，通常只採食嫩葉及嫩莖的部位，但偶會食其他種植物。無尾熊屬非群居性動物，所以每天花在其社交行為上可能只有數10分鐘左右。

拍攝的對象為老家的雌性無尾熊 ( 芙蓉 ) ，出生於2013年6月19日；父：Flynn / 母：Tiwi。芙蓉小的時候就很Q了，現在長大了更是一位亭亭玉立的小美女，她的名字也相當稱職。
