            "Geonosis has crushed the Techno Union like butcherbugs and drove them back deeper within the outer rim. With the charred remains of the planet left with a thick Republic occupation, the 457th had pulled out only to be driven deeper from the core systems to a planet which was formerly referred to as Taris. With cities challenging that of even Coruscant, the system is nothing more than a corpse of an industrialized planet, bombarded centuries ago. Since then, Taris is nothing more than a warm and cozy home to the ugliest scum in the galaxy, filled with rebellious smugglers and thieves with little to no government themselves. Several thin factions, however, have ground their way through the debris and sought to rebuild on the rubble. However, intelligence reports the Commerce Guild has intervened, concealing themselves deep within the undercity to avoid the watchful Republic eyes overhead. It is believed they are attempting to revive the Rakghoul plague and unleash it against core worlds, unleashing destruction similar to that which the four-fiftey-seventh had experienced on Gand. Since we were first informed we would be thrown into a system filled with galactic thugs, DSD1's, and Rakghouls, the seven-oh-seventh have been relatively silent over the past few days. As the 457th fleet looms above the wretched surface of Taris, we can't help but feel as if all our former battles have been compacted into one assault. Nar Shaddaa, Bal'Demnic, Gand, Manaan - I can see the reflections all here. It hurts, to say the least. The thick rain this week has not helped in the least - transmissions and radar aboard the Quarra have been interrupted. Leaving Yankee Company left to drop in with minimal distance between each other, we are expected to battle through muck and scum in tight little groups within the most difficult battle environment we have experienced."
