My little furry friend - a photo on Flickriver

            One of my clients has two indoor cats and she goes away quite often. I come in and feed her two cats twice a day while she and her husband are gone. Because they have such  kind hearts... they feed some feral cats outside. So I feed them too. They also put out a cat box 3 feet off the ground with bedding, as well as a heated bed and water bowl out on the front porch.
Right now, there are five outside cats. One, only a few months old with her mother. Oh if I could grab any one of them, I would take them into my house. My dogs are completely non aggressive, so I think it would work out. Especially the little kitten because  the New Jersey winters are brutal. 
We've worked hard to get these cats to trust us... and it's working. But all five are still a bit standoffish. This guy is the friendliest. He will walk right next to me, as long as I don't try to grab him. If I do, he's off like a shot. He's a main coon cat. He gets very excited when I pull up. He knows food and warm water are coming in a few minutes. I can even pet him briefly but picking him up would be impossible right now. Maybe with  a little time... you never know. 
I've never had a cat. I think I would like it. =)
