A walk through Keukenhof - a photo on Flickriver

            Spring in Holland means just one thing: bulbs. And colour. And people. 

I took a couple of hours off one afternoon to drive to Lisse and visit the gardens.

I imagined the traffic from hell: but it was fine going and fine when I left. 

I will post in order of the walk, in that way I might not miss some of the scenes, but then it might get a bit boring for you.

The scent of the hyacinths made the air so fragrant, something to recall during the long winter nights I think.

At one point in a lake were some wooden platforms, on which people could walk out into the lake. Looks good, but I gave it a miss.

And then after the tulips, came more tulips. Who'd have thought that?

If anything, as I walked on, the colours become more intense. Was I imagining it....
