Their movement was fast, their methods unclear,
And for a while you witnessed their pain,
Their joy and their loneliness, relentless fear.
How most of their short time was spent in vain.

But you saw the great gift they had been given.
To wander this space and dance with a star
All atoms must obey; none, for that path, had striven.
But to wonder about these journeys so far,

Is a gift that is so rarely bestowed,
We must revel in it too as we revel at the road.
To wander, it seems, is all our destiny,
But to wonder can indeed be our ecstasy."
