Moving Day -- Big Picture - a photo on Flickriver

            CONSTRUCTION DETAILS:

Walls: Made from thin birch wood.  Holes were cut for the windows.  I primed and painted them with high quality latex wall paint.  I added a bottle of dark turquoise acrylic craft paint to my left over white paint to make the light turquoise. 

Floor: I used an X-acto knife to create the hard wood floor plank look.  I stained it with 3 coats of dark walnut wood stain.

Lower Cabinets & wall oven: vintage Sindy.  It is actually 2 stoves and 2 sinks.  I removed the tops of one sink and one stove to make more counter space.

Fridge: Modern Barbie repainted

Upper Cabinets: I made  these from balsa wood and then primed and painted them with good quality latex paint -- Benjamin Moore is my favorite.  It is leftover paint from my own house. It is so thick that it fills in any imperfections in my cutting-- love that!

Back splash: scrapbook paper-- I had to photocopy it because I ran out and could not find anymore.

Windows & Baseboard: I made them from balsa wood.  I put a piece of plastic and a magazine photo behind each window.

Living Room Tables: vintage Mattel Moden 

Sofa, Chair, Ottoman:  I made them from foam core and a foam puzzle covered in in fabric

Kitchen Table and Chairs: vintage Deluxe Reading Kitchen.  I repainted the chairs.  The other colors did not work in my space. 

Groceries: printed on my home computer

Planter on Floor: vintage Pretty Princess, repainted, plants changed

Ironing Board: Gloria repainted, new fabric cover

Wall Art: printed on home computer and then I made frames from balsa wood and stained them

TV: vintage Barbie

Small Appliances: vintage Galoob or Re-ment

Dishes: vintage Sindy or Re-ment

Rugs: pieces of fabric cut to size.  I did not hem them because I did not want any bumps

Records: printed from my home computer

Moving Boxes: I made them from shirt boxes
