Utah-rado: Seeing Red - a photo on Flickriver

The fantastical landscapes given rise by the geology of the Colorado Plateau are known worldwide for amazing rock formations with incredible red hues. Here's a view of some rock formations just to the east of Fisher Towers in SE Utah. Makes one wonder why only my home state of Colorado features the color red as part of its name, heh.

Image notes: single frame, no hdr, no grads. The key was near sunset light on these rocks to warm up the reds even more. Hard to believe it would be pitch black out at the time this was taken now that we are in December. I miss those long summer days!
