There is hope....

.... I can see the light

I reverently stand before this natural power and realize how small I am. It moves my heart and I am filled with gratitude.

A sight I'll never forget. It's been some years ago, but it always impresses me when I see these powers of nature. In front of me, the largest contiguous ice field in the Alpes. I am standing on a rock at almost 3000m above sea level. (You look at a millennia-old natural treasure, which was formed by this time and has an ice thickness of up to 900m. The glacier is about 23km long.) The air is thin and I have to move slower than usual. It's the highest point I've ever climbed. The biggest glacier of the Alpes fascinates me since this day so much. One day I would like to return to this natural wonder in a quiet hour and enjoy the loneliness and silence up there. I really hope so. It's almost like homesickness for me. I love the mountains, I love nature.

Please excuse my little flashback. (Time travel). It was important for me to come back to that moment of silence that I was allowed to experience in this place. I hope you can understand me a little bit and share this moment with me. I will soon return to current pictures, full of colors and spring feelings. Promised. Thank you my dear friends for your interest and understanding. I wish all of you a wonderful and blessed springtime. Enjoy it.

To the picture: Aletsch glacier in the Valais & Bernese Alps - Switzerland. The mountains in the Region of Valais are the highest in Switzerland. Not far from the Aletsch Glacier is the famous Matterhorn.
