1993 Citroen AX 1.0 Neon

            Don't see many of these now. The Peugeot-engined AX had very light panelling, making them very economical for the time, but at the same time, not the greatest place to have a shunt in.

I believe this is a 'Neon' one of the many terrible "special editions" (such a popular trend back then, stick tacky labels on poverty-spec superminis and flog them as "special editions" to make more money) that afflicted many perfectly decent cars such as this in the early 1990s. The most hideous AX special edition, was the all-white 'Splash', which decals that looked like felt pent scribblings on the sides, bootlid, bonnet and wheel trims. Anyone who has a photo of an AX Splash, send it my way!

This also shares a driveway with a derelict Audi Quattro, and I look upon this house green with envy every time I walk past.
