Fall Scene (20151008-155548-PJG_H)

            It is very rare that I put up two photos in one day, but just had to with this one.  When I went to the zoo this morning, I passed this area and resolved to come back in the late afternoon.  The best time for photographing the artificial lake and foliage is early morning as the sun is directly behind you illuminating everything, but I wanted something different.

This was shot near 4pm with the sun off to the left, putting all those beautiful trees in shadow.  There was a bit of breeze so the lake wasn't still, and it rarely is.  It was time to play.  This is actually five manually bracketed polarized shots, lightly run through Photomatix.  The camera doesn't have the dynamic range of the human eye and brain, so I knew I had to try something.
