Twelve-Branch Star - Wide View (Collected Flakes, March 15th 2017, #9)

A much wider view of the previously posted twelve-branch star, now on the right and including a chaotic companion on the left. That's the great thing about using a reversed zoom - easily variable magnification.

It was about -8C, with big "snowclumps" falling slowly at the end of a 40cm+ snowstorm. I used a tuque to collect flakes as they were falling and bring them under cover to shoot.

Pentax-M 135mm F/3.5 plus coupled reversed Sigma 24-70mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom, with off-camera Godox AD180, standard diffuser, and Godox PB960 battery pack. Forteen-shot handheld focus stack, with EXIF from the first shot.
