Sequoia Vertorama - a photo on Flickriver

Sequoia Vertorama

A 180 degree vertical HDR panorama taken in Sequoia National Park, California.

This shot was taken near the General Sherman tree, the world's most massive tree (by volume) and comprises 56 individual exposures (8 panels each comprising a 7 exposure HDR). This is the first 180 degree vertical panorama I've shot so it took quite a few tries to determine the best stitching mode to use (the answer to anyone else trying this is "Cylindrical").

In case you are wondering why it's horizontal, I decided I preferred the look of the picture when I rotated it 90 degrees! I guess that means it isn't a vertorama after all?
