Antelope Ground Squirrel - a photo on Flickriver

            This cute little squirrel can be found all over Southern Arizona – most of the time you see them running for cover.  During my time out photographing and returning to the same spot, the squirrel has seen me so many times it actually started becoming my friend and not running but wanting to hang out with me - making me believe he somehow knew what my intent was (to be his friend and to get out of the ordinary images of him).  By showing-off his cuteness and acrobatic moves & poses for me, he gave me so many opportunities to photograph him.  After the WOW I saw thru the viewfinder, I then knew it was a gift from the Lord and someday he would make a wonderful front cover and put a lot of smiles on so many faces - including myself.
