Red Stinger (Ichneumon Wasp) - a photo on Flickriver

            When I was a young lad, we used to call these guys red stingers. We often found them flying against the window in the apartment. This one was taken at Wonthaggi reserve. He was hiding deep in some bush and I had to push away most of the twigs to get to it. As Liewwk said, it's a male mainly because it is missing a sting.
