Mekong Mystique (Laos) - a photo on Flickriver

            At sunset the boats with tourists arrive from upriver at the little village of Pakbeng. They travel from the Thai border to Luang Prabang and have to stay overnight here. Suddenly the place buzzes with noisy people searching for room and food. Until next morning when the boats have left and Pakbeng will be again as sleepy and relaxed as any other village along the river.
