Layered Canyon Light - a photo on Flickriver

            The chill glow of sunrise graces the snow-capped summits of the Henry Mountains and the erosional masterpiece carved by the Green River gleams in the foreground, Grandview Point, Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

I was looking through the archive seeing where chance and good luck had brought me over the past several years during the holiday season. I found this photo and was surprised I hadn't posted it for 3 years! This particular morning stands out as a photographic highlight for me - not just of the past few years, but my whole life. My brother came with me to revel in the 16 ˚F temperatures and the 20-25 mph winds. An unrivaled shifting dance of color and penumbra.
