Moon Lantern - a photo on Flickriver

Moon Lantern

            The clouds billow like incoming surf over the Flatiron formation and Boulder, Colorado. Rolling and tumbling eastward over the Continental Divide, they deftly cup the full moon with their vaporous palms while the city twinkles below in the blue hour of a late-autumn morning. 

I admit I was hoping for fewer clouds and perhaps a glimpse of the evasive Moon. Although my hopes did not materialize, I found the lantern-like nature of the atmosphere to be equally interesting and dynamic in its own right. Perhaps it is safe to say that the Moon takes guile to the utmost of heights.
