            My favorite ducking hole no longer allows me to chum for birds.  So it was a surprise when my wife and I visited recently and found some interesting species of birds.  

The place has quieted down greatly.  I miss the Buffleheads, the Wood Ducks, and all the squabbling American Wigeons.  I suppose they want to clear the nitrogen out of the water.  Or something.
