Seraphic Society - ----- ----, Shelley Frederick (Butoh)

            Recently I have noticed how a photoshoot, as it is processed, begins to demand a certain look or feel.  I'm at a loss to explain how this happens. 

With the Seraphic Society I thought I would be heading down a very creepy avenue, with dripping flesh and hallowed out eyes.  Yet what I'm seeing is that my processing is headed in yet another direction entirely.

Strange.  Very strange.  Maybe I should try some seriously hardcore texture layering to see if I can't break out of this?  Or can elegant light and softer textures really hold their own with a subject as demanding as Butoh?  Is enlightenment at hand?  Or is it all a game of cat vs scorpion?
