Wood Duck - pushing through - a photo on Flickriver

            OK.  I needed a break from all that HDR tone-mapping work.  I felt the need to revisit the sharp traditional image making that I've been working on recently.  Namely, looking through my latest images from the pond that my wife and I visit on a regular basis.

Being late-February, I was hoping to see some new varieties of ducks and waterfowl.  Alas, it may be too early in the migration for anyone of interest to turn up.  On the weekend of this visit the pond was populated with the usual crowd.  Not that they're not interesting and beautiful, mind you.  LOL!
