            Atardecer desde el "Top of the Rock".
Subir al Empire State Building es una visita imprescindible e inolvidable, pero si hay algún otro mirador que no deberían perderse si visitan la ciudad de New York ese es el "Top of the Rock" del Rockefeller Center.
En esta ocasión me reservé el atardecer-anochecer de un fantástico día para visitar tan mágico lugar. Sacamos las entradas (unos 30 dólares) sobre las 18:00 horas de la tarde y nos dieron subida para las 19:25 horas. Traté de que nos dejaran subir un poco antes, para coger un buen sitio, pero son super escrupulosos con el horario y no fue posible. La subida en el ascensor es ya toda una sensación indescriptible (no desvelaré más detalles para aquél que no haya subido aun). Recomiendo subir a la planta más alta (se puede acceder creo recordar que a tres plantas diferentes), pues en esta planta superior no hay cristaleras y la sensación del viento en la cara a tan impresionante altura es un plus que recomiendo totalmente, además de poder sacar fotos más limpias.
Mi sorpresa fue al llegar a esta planta y observar el gentío que allí había…Imposible coger un sitio en primera fila, me dije. Opté por sacar una sola foto del margen de Central Park (la que ahora podéis contemplar), para dirigirme a continuación al lado contrario, donde se encuentra la vista del Empire State, la vista parcial del edificio Chrysler, Times Square y más a lo lejos el Distrito Financiero con la Torre de la Libertad (el edificio más alto de NY), o lo que es lo mismo, la flor y nata de esta ciudad desde, a mi juicio, el mejor mirador posible.
La batalla para conseguir un sitio y obtener mis deseadas instantáneas está servida… El resultado en los próximos capítulos.
