glowing sunrise over Kassel - a photo on Flickriver

This glowing sunrise photo was taken from the Herkules Monument with the view over the UNESCO Park "Wilhelmshöhe" and my hometown Kassel with its illuminated Castle Wilhelmshöhe.

The day before we had some clear blue sky. The weather maps predicted a lot of clouds and bad weather coming from the west hitting middle Germany at the morning during sunrise time.
These are always the best conditions for an epic sky. And it happened as I had hoped. I've rarely seen such an intense sunrise. There were already some raindrops when I took this photo. Some minutes later it started to rain. So I was really really lucky and happy ;-)
