The Milky Way: A symbol of birth. - a photo on Flickriver

            My first attempt at a Milky Way nightscape was a cool night, with dew visible in the air (in front of the flashlight). Expecting some condensation fogging my lens, and it being my first attempt, I anticipated a horrible set of photos. Hoping for just one to emerge unruined, I was gifted a couple usable shots, this being the first.

Reprocessed after noticing a couple mistakes, one being that I forgot to use the dehaze tool in ACR. The other a stitching mistake in the original, where stars were duplicated. After using dehaze, the same settings were applied as the original, and then toned down slightly because dehaze had brought out so much more contrast and detail in the sky.

The third and (I sincerely hope) final version. I originally didn't like how I had lit the grass and trees. But after stitching them in with the Milky Way it really seemed to bring the photo together. Much like The Dudes rug.
