July the 4th

            For the 4th of July I wanted to get as close as my widest lens could go. I staked out my spot a half hour before dark, which happened to be in the lake, in a foot of water. But after the first shot went off I realized I needed to be further back so I scrambled backward until I reached a happy compromise, between the land (where the fireworks were being shot from) being distinguishable and the top part of the frame being cropped off. 

Using 'live composition' mode, I was able to automatically stack 4 second exposures, in camera, to get the photo.
