Croisées d'ogives de la nef de la collégiale de Poissy - Yvelines

            Cette église collégiale est un modèle de transition entre les architectures romane et gothique en Ile-de-France. Elle présente deux élégantes tours romanes octogonales du XIIe s. et une embase de tour carrée du XIe s. La tour occidentale a inspiré l'architecture d'autres clochers de la région comme ceux des églises d'Orgeval, Feucherolles et Epône. La nef possède des croisées d'ogives et des arc-boutants gothiques. De nombreux aménagements furent apportés au cours des XIVe, XVe et XVIe, notamment par l'adjonction de chapelles latérales sur son flanc nord et de 2 jolis porches sur le côté sud. A noter que la collégiale fut le lieu de baptème de Saint-Louis en 1214. Elle fut restaurée par Viollet-le-Duc au XIXe s. qui s'attacha à lui rendre son aspect médiéval. L'église comporte un orgue Cavaillé-Coll-Mutin du XIXe s.
