Mam Tor Sunset

            Having finally managed to engineer a day of "me" time, following the relentlessness of school and the Christmas madness, I took the opportunity to head out somewhere for the day. I usually prefer to head for the coast, but the forecast showed the weather to be clear and cloudless, which is not the best recipe for atmospheric shots. The High Peak in Derbyshire, however, showed plenty of promise with forecasts of heavy snow showers and freezing conditions. My afternoon became divided by a walk up Surprise View and a separate walk up Mam Tor before sunset.
