Indian Leaf: Ghost Photographer - a photo on Flickriver

One of my all time favs. While in the Butterfly Rainforest this Indian Leaf landed on a pressure treated hand rail. I took a few shots, came up for "air", and watched as a young women began to mirror my shooting. I was so intent on capturing her in the bokeh!

I also love the lines in the wood allowing one to see the small area of focus actually allowed with the DOF and Macro photography. For many of the shots with butterflies, I am trying to catch the subject on the horizontal or parallel of my camera to get the most I can in focus.

What an amazing place. Went for the day...a major museum on the campus of a University.

Below, is the same Indian Leaf, but with wings open. Isn't it just awesome how camouflaged this Butterfly is closed...and how bright and vivid the colors are when open? Love it. And down here they loosely call this butterfly the "Gator" butterfly as it has the school colors of the University of Florida Gators (mascot).
