Greta Oto (Mariposa de Cristal) - a photo on Flickriver

            Greta oto es una mariposa de alas transparentes. Es comúnmente llamada mariposa de cristal o "espejitos". Su envergadura es de entre 5,5 y 6cm. El tejido entre las venas de sus alas parece de vidrio. Se puede encontrar en América Central, de México a Panamá (esta esta tomanda en Venezuela). El borde de sus alas es de color café oscuro, a veces teñidas de rojos o naranja y su cuerpo de color oscuro.
Se alimentan del néctar de una variedad de flores tropicales.
