The old meets the new - a photo on Flickriver

This view is slightly east of the skyline of Frankfurt. You can see the TV Tower which is the tallest building in Frankfurt, the Nextower, a 136-metre high rise office building and Jumeirah Frankfurt, a 99-metre high rise hotel building. Infront you see the old cathedral of Frankfurt, Where from 1356 onwards, emperors of the Holy Roman Empire were elected in this collegiate church as kings in Germany, and from 1562 to 1792, emperors-elect were crowned at. You also can see the St. Paul's Church on the left hand side, which has more a political history than a religious.
