Bendeleben - a photo on Flickriver

Bendeleben

            In der Ortschaft Bendeleben im thüringischen Kyffhäuserkreis wurde in den Jahren 1860 und 1861 das Neue Schloss errichtet. Bemerkenswert ist, dass es auf Eichenpfählen erbaut wurde. Bauherr war ein Wilhelm von Krause, dessen Familie das Schloss bis zum Jahr 1945 besaß. Dann fand die Enteignung statt.

Nachdem es den Zweiten Weltkrieg relativ unbeschadet überstanden hatte, wurde es danach geplündert und erlebte bis 1970 eine sehr wechselvolle Geschichte. Heute ist im Schloss ein Seniorenheim untergebracht.
