FOTY - Gray Hairstreak Butterfly - a photo on Flickriver

            . . . posted for the record and not photography skills.  First butterfly image of 2018 on my first slightly-opened tulip of 2018.  Very sunny and the butterfly chose a partly sunny spot on which to pose.  There is a clump of weeds with tiny purple flowers coming to life in the yard close to the container where the tulip is blooming.  I have "requested" that the weeds be allowed to grow for awhile.  So here it is shadows and all - Gray Hairstreak - Morgan County, Alabama - 2018
