Northern Cardinal - male - a photo on Flickriver

            It is always nice to have Northern Cardinals around.  This one was showing off its pretty red coat a couple of days ago.  Activity picked up today.    There were Eastern Bluebirds checking their nest boxes, Chickadees snatching food from a feeder, an American Robin sitting on the fence and looking pretty, a Song Sparrow composing a new song, and  House Sparrows waiting for the Bluebirds to leave so they could make a run on the nest boxes.
