Head of a Kouros (3372), island marble from the National Archaeological Museum (artificial light, Oct 2014)

            One evening in October, I walked around the sculpture galleries, one night, after the electric lights went on.

One of a set of statues in artificial light from October 2014.

This head (together with tomorrow's upload of an arm) were found in the Kerameikos, near the Dipylon gate. They are made of island marble and date to about 600 BC.

Shot on a D3100 with the 135mm f/2.8 Nikkor Q and processed in GIMP.
