The boys use a furnace to heat metal to white hot then make an iron stand.

A boy of about eleven years of age is shown heating up an iron bar in a furnace, the boy dressed in a jacket and short trousers takes the iron bar to the anvil and hammers the white hot metal bar, after heating it up again he takes it across to another boy who helps bend the hot metal bar into a curved design, this is to form part of a stand for the chapel.
