Mountainside and Ridge Hidden in the Clouds (North Cascade National Park Complex)

            A view looking to the west while standing on a bridge over the Skagit River. With the low clouds and rainy weather this day, I knew I would have a large dynamic range to deal with in capturing not just the clouds but also bringing out the variations of contrast in the hues of the nearby evergreen trees. I decided to set my camera on the Manual mode and then meter the exposure to capture this image. I was able to then work in Capture NX2 with control points and color control points for the final image.
