The Paradise Inn and a Mountain Backdrop (Black & White, Mount Rainier National Park)

            This was to be my last afternoon in Mount Rainier National Park, so I took advantage of the mild Autumn temperatures and beautiful skies to savor one last walk around the Paradise area. This was on the Paradise Road behind the end not far from the trailhead to Reflection Lakes. The story behind this image was that I'd seen something similar in a painting or postcard walking around the inside of the Paradise Inn. I can't recall where I read it, but the author mentioned a thing to attempt to capture wasn't just the typical iconic images one sees on stock photo sites. Sometimes one just has to wander and note paintings and postcards and capture your take on that setting. Those places tend to be off the beaten path but well worth the time. I later converted to Black & White using Capture NX2.
