Macro Mondays - Just White Paper - Origami Swan

            For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Just White Paper’ theme, I have chosen to photograph an Origami Swan made from a piece of white paper. As I suspected, there is more than one origami swan in this weeks challenge!

From Wikipedia: Origami is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word “origami” is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. The goal is to transform a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.

Lighting for this image was a combination of natural window light (camera right) and a remotely fired SB700 speedlight. The speedlight was used to add some fill-light to the subject.
