Eugene of Savoy hunting castle - a photo on Flickriver

            Location: Bilje, Croatia

As a reward for his victory against Ottomans at Senta, Austrian emperor Leopold I, gave Eugene of Savoy an estate of 13 villages (6 more were added later), with total area size of about 800 km². For the seat of the estate he chose village Bilje where he built his hunting castle (1701-1712). Since he had no successor, after his death, the estate was used by many other noble houses.
