The trunk

            This one is from a very hot august day, when I was looking at my favorite spot in Eemnes for waterbirds, when suddenly the sun disappeared. Not knowing what had happened because it had been sunny all day, I turned around and saw this giant cloud stretching towards me like the trunk of an elephant.
